Youth Classes & Workshops

At Chicago Street Theatre, we believe theatre is more than learning lines and performing on stage. It’s a place where young people discover confidence, creativity, friendship, and a sense of belonging.

Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where every student feels valued, encouraged, and challenged to grow.

Through imagination, collaboration, and storytelling, we help students develop not only as performers, but as individuals.

Whether a student is stepping onto the stage for the first time or preparing for future opportunities in theatre, we want every child to leave knowing they found a place where they belong.

We offer classes for ages 5-18 and all skill levels. Our year-round education is perfect for after school extracurriculars and supplemental education, and is offered in two semesters: Fall and Spring. We also offer shorter sessions during the summer.

Each class ends with showcase performance, which families and friends are invited to attend.

Overview of Class Levels

  • Beginner classes are for those just starting out at Chicago Street Theatre or those who have taken summer workshops. Beginner classes offer foundational skills that will scale as students continue within our program.
  • Advanced classes are for those who have taken at least one full-year of classes.
