This camp introduces students to the literature of Shakespeare through the performance of shortened adaptations in the original language. The play, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, is divided into five acts, with students assigned a different role in each act, allowing all to play a variety of roles and to learn the play from different perspectives. The charming, but bare bones approach of performing Shakespeare in t-shirts and shorts guarantees an immersion in the imaginative language of the bard. The culmination includes two main-stage performances, in tandem with the Teen Shakespeare Workshop.
