Project Runway "Chicago Street Style" is one of the most fun aspects of our “Little Black Dress Party.” The contestants have to get creative with old costumes and fabric from our costume shop. In just one hour, they transform them into a complete ensemble fit for outfitting a character in one of CST's future shows. We still have an opening for one more contestant... if you're interested, leave a comment on the blog.
Last year, the costume was created for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream" and they turned out fabulous! This year's creative challenge has yet to be decided. Some ideas we're considering include: The World's Worst Fairy Godmother, Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde, The Comedy of Errors or maybe some other crazy idea we haven’t thought of yet. We'll make our final determination by the end of the week. Any ideas?
Oh by the way… we also have a fantastic fashion show by Tevlyn at Bargain Barn. This is not your mother’s fashion show! There is something for everyone from infants to our sassy seniors... men, women and children. Last year's “Little Black Dress Party” was voted one of the top 10 entertainment events of 2012 by ValpoLife. Wow! That’s amazing! We have a lot to live up to... and we plan to do it!
Put on your little black dress and join us at Chicago Street Theatre on Thursday, May 2 at 6pm. Plan on having a great time. Tickets are $25 and include the show, appetizers and a gift bag. There will also be a cash bar by Martinis, manicures, massages and more. Get your tickets online by clicking here or give Mike a call in the box office at (219) 464-1636 x 1.
