Shakespeare Workshop students have much to offer

The Summer Shakespeare Workshop has had an exciting beginning.  The 13 enrolled teens have begun to develop characters that form our Elizabethan Acting Troupe, auditioned for roles in our one-hour adaptation of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, and started to develop acts for our traveling "Yard Show" performances. Their creativity has fostered a juggler, a stilt-walker, a puppeteer and original puppet show, musicians and dancers, a palm reader, tarot card reader, face painter, and swashbucklers complete with swords.

After only two weeks and four class sessions, we are fully under way with a dynamic ensemble and talented troupe.  We are looking forward to interacting with the audience at Central Park Plaza July 13 & 14 as traveling minstrel performers, and to creating our condensed version of MIDSUMMER for all to see on July 29 & 30.
